Spot inspections will be made in order to promote honest and fair sailing among all competitors and to clearly discourage sailors who could sail a regatta with gear removed to make their boat lighter than weighed, or who would sail with larger sails than those measured by the rating committee.  We will be checking that gear you weighed with is still on board and that the sail measurements are still the same. If a boat is found negligent in one of these area it is subject to protest by the rating committee.  The RC is taking every step in recognition of the principals of fair sailing and of the sailors who have lost interest in racing because they felt some were taking unfair advantage of the rule.  Let's all sail as if we were doing unto others as we would have it done to ourselves....
